The Tilta Illusion Magnetic VND Adapter for Circular Polarizer Filter transforms any Illusion Circular Polarizer into a powerful Variable ND system. It works by stacking magnetically on top of any Illusion CPL filter. Together, the two elements act as a single variable ND unit. Therefore, you get full exposure control without adding a separate standalone ND filter to your kit.

This Variable ND Adapter connects magnetically to the Illusion Magnetic Circular Polarizer. When you pair it with the standard CPL, you get a Variable ND range of 1 to 5 stops. When higher ND is needed, this same adapter works with the alternative version of the Illusion Magnetic Circular Polarizer, which starts at 5 stops of ND. This allows you to control your VND between 6 to 10 stops when you need it on bright sunny days.

This clever design means one adapter covers two completely different exposure ranges. First, stack it on the standard CPL for 1–5 stops. Then, swap to the CPL + ND5 and use the same adapter for 6–10 stops. As a result, you expand your entire exposure range without buying a second adapter. Furthermore, switching between ranges takes only seconds thanks to the magnetic connection.

Cinema-grade Full Spectrum (FS) coating delivers low reflectivity and even light transmission, preserving the true color of every scene. In addition, the water- and oil-repellent surface keeps the glass clean and ready even in tough outdoor conditions. The aluminum frame adds durability without adding unnecessary weight to your setup.

The VND Adapter also works with the CPL + Black Mist 1/4. In that configuration, you get diffusion and a 1–5 stop variable ND range in a single compact stack. This makes it a powerful tool for cinematic portrait work, travel shoots, and run-and-gun video production.

Note that this Filter Adapter cannot work without an Illusion Magnetic Circular Polarizer, which is sold separately. You also need the Illusion Magnetic Filter Adapter Ring to mount the stack on your lens.
