Autofocus decides for you. A follow focus lets you set start and end marks and hit them identically on every take, which is what makes a focus pull part of the storytelling rather than an accident.
Nucleus-M II parts are modular: motors, hand units, gears and mounts all work together, so you can build up the system rather than replacing it.
