The K&F Concept Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter 49mm, 1 to 9-Stop replaces a whole set of fixed ND filters. Rotating the front ring runs the density from ND2 to ND400, which is 1 to 9 stops of light, so you can hold a 1/50 shutter and a wide aperture in daylight instead of stopping down and losing your background separation.

That is the filter video shooters reach for first: shallow depth of field outdoors, correct 180-degree shutter, and long exposures for water and cloud movement on the stills side. Hard stops at each end keep you inside the usable range where the black cross appears on wide lenses.

The glass carries 18 multi-layer blue coatings, and the slim rotating frame threads onto compact primes such as 50mm f/1.8.
