A carbon fibre top flag that attaches with a 1/4″-20 screw — the cheapest way to get the main benefit of a matte box without fitting one.

Most flare comes from a light source just outside the frame hitting the front element. An adjustable arm lets you bring the flag down until it cuts that light and stops just before it enters the shot.

Carbon fibre construction keeps it light enough to hang off a small cage without upsetting the balance.
